What You Will Do In Your Role

Provide direction and leadership to manufacturing engineer group including people management as follows: managing performance; addressing disciplinary issues; hiring; assisting people with career development; communicating information to direct reports, passing information up the management chain and fostering open communication; ensuring team is aligned with and accomplishing goals/objectives; administrative processing; and, maintaining trust and confidentiality while fostering a team environment
Plan the development of new processes for manufacturing lines
Actively participate in defining and quoting automated solutions to ensure new programs meet expectations
Solve complex problems with flow in present and future manufacturing processes
Project management; initiation, planning and execution
Communicate effectively with external and internal customers
Keep management informed regarding project status
Ensure policies, procedures, and work instructions are adhered to consistently and equitably for all areas led
Leadership and application of problem solving initiatives, such as lean manufacturing and six sigma projects
Stay current on new and/or updated technology, manufacturing practices and processes related to the core business within the facility
Facilitate communication between quality, engineering, and operations
Utilizes good judgment; showing strong business acumen, decision quality, intellectual horsepower, perspective, and problem solving
Proactively identifies safety concerns and designs safety into the manufacturing process
Complies with Environmental Management System program SOP’s/WI, Policy & Program elements and encourages responsible use of resources

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
A minimum of 7 years applied engineering experience
A minimum of 3 years supervisory/leadership experience
Experience defining and developing manufacturing solutions using robotics and/or automated systems
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering systems

What Will Put You Ahead

Experience in FDA registered medical device manufacturing
Working knowledge of process control equipment
Broad knowledge of materials and processes
